Alicja ~Registered Massage Therapist, Founder & Clinic Director

Miss Alicja is the proud owner of Hands on Health Corporation bringing over 25 years of business experience to Port Colborne. 

Alicja is a Member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO), The Registered Massage Therapist Association of Ontario (RMTAO) a recipient of the 40 UNDER FORTY ~ Business Achievement Award 2012.

Alicja has refined her professional practice gaining well valued experience at multiple locations along side other health care specialists. From a multidisciplinary health clinic, a tranquil spa setting & also practicing as an independant sports therapist in a local fitness center. Treatments provided in Alicja's care are customized to meet the specific needs of each patient to assist in stress reduction, removing old holding patterns by releasing muscles and resetting through whole body awareness & reconditioning. Her main focus is to support the body’s innate healing processes having experience treating a vast array of health conditions. The effectiveness of this approach to treatment became exceedingly apparent during her 15+ years of practice. Treatments will support optimal functioning of all systems of the body & bring self awareness which is key to the healing & rehabilitation process. 


In 2008 Alicja opened her first health care clinic on West Street, Hands On Health Massage Therapy. Premiering as a sole proprietor, the support & encouragement of patients quickly propelled the expansion of Hands on Health.  
In 2011, Hands On Health Corporation opened its new door on West Street where patients can rehabilitate while relaxing with a team of trusted, professional hands. Clinical services are complimented within our tranquil atmosphere offering additional therapeutic body and wellness skin care services. Multiple therapists are available to accommodate the growing demand for Niagara Massage Therapy Care.                                                                                                                    


Shawna ~ Registered Massage Therapist

Shawna is a proud member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO), a member of the Registered Massage Therapist Association of Ontario (RMTAO) and a respected Niagara Massage Therapist. A dedicated wife & new mother, Shawna is also an integral part of the Hands on Health team & the profession of massage therapy. With her strong purpose, valued work ethic & genuine determination to make a positive impact on the well being of those in her care, Shawna is a true success in this profession. She has been assisting patients to maintain and restore their functional abilities through her vast experience as a RMT, tailoring each patient’s treatment to be as effective as possible considering not only the presentation of symptoms but the root cause & applies techniques considering the whole body to identify dysfunction. Shawna is passionate about massage therapy because of the wide variety of benefits it can provide, whether it’s to prevent or treat injuries, reduce stress, anxiety, depression or manage optimal health. Applied modalities include myofascial release with medi cupping therapy, relaxing swedish massage therapy techniques, trigger point release, joint mobilization, heat therapy with thermal palms & customized care for pre & post natal patients, junior & senior specific care and specialized treatment for those with physical limitations. As an experienced therapist, Shawna has crafted her ability to meet the specific needs of each patient in her care thus making her a valued and highly sought after therapist. 

Brianna ~ Registered Massage Therapist

Hands on Health is honoured to have Brianna on our therapeutic staff. Graduating from Mohawk College with Honours in the Massage Therapy Program, Brianna is a proud member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO). With a passion for athleticism and rehabilitation, Brianna has established her strong presence as a successful niagara massage therapist. She is focussed on providing excellence in care to achieve optimal health & function. Her process is collaborative, working with each patient to identify their immediate and longer term health care goals. Through therapeutic massage, Brianna is treating patients of all ages with a diverse range of conditions including: low back & neck pain, pelvic pain, nerve impingement and compressions, muscle and joint rehabilitation, thoracic immobility, headaches, myo-fascial contractures, muscle tension and spasm, posture dysfunction and much more. A variety of techniques may be used such as; deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, hydrotherapy, myo-fascial release with medi cupping, orthopedic mobilization techniques and swedish massage for relaxation. Miss Brianna spends her spare time at the gym, with family and planning to continue her education as a certified personal trainer! Her continuous drive to succeed paired with her caring, sympathetic nature makes Brianna a truly wonderful and highly valued therapist on our team.

Leslie ~ Registered Massage Therapist

Hands on Health is excited to welcome Leslie to our therapeutic staff to assist with our high appointment demand, summer schedule adjustments & to provide professional, experienced care to all patients of the clinic from May 2019 to October 2019.
Leslie is a graduate of Sutherland Chan College in Toronto where she received her Massage Therapy diploma in 2004. As a registered member in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO), her 15 years of practice has provided fortunate opportunity to travel and work in a variety of settings and countries. This has given her great opportunity to gain a vast amount of experience working with many clients, treating a variety of conditions. 
Leslie and her family's travels have now brought them back to Ontario where she is originally from and she looks forward to meeting and caring for the members of Hands on Health clinic  for the upcoming months.
Leslie's treatment style focuses on body awareness & homecare maintenance to assist with posture corrections and to improve proper body mechanics while at work, home or daily routines. Leslie will customize her treatments to suit your individual needs whether you are seeking quiet time to relax & decompress or mobilize once pain is managed with careful, effective techniques. Scheduling with Leslie is variable throughout each week & open to all as in part with our team therapy clinical approach. 

Wendy ~ Registered Massage Therapist

 Hands on Health is excited to welcome another wonderful therapist to our team! Wendy joins us with over 15 years of experience as a registered massage therapist and is a member in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario CMTO and Registered Massage Therapists Association of Ontario RMTAO. Having worked in a variety of health care settings along side physiotherapists, chiropractors & chiropodists, Wendy has gained much diversity in her massage therapy treatment approach and is always seeking new modailties in care to advance her abilities as a massage therapist. Active Isolated Stretching, Advanced Myofascial Dysfunction, TMJ Dysfunction to name a few courses Wendy has attended to expand her knowledge of specialized care in her massage therapy practice. Having also worked within a spa atmosphere and in homecare with elderly and disabled patients, Wendy has developed a strong sense of mind body awareness, addressing specific concerns while creating a relaxed, caring experience with clinical focus. Wendy is a loving wife and mom to her 2 children and fur baby and is thrilled to be a new resident of the niagara region! Patients are welcome to schedule massage therapy treatments on Wendys flexible schedule as part of the Hands on Health open booking format. Medi cupping, thermal palms and more treatment options will also be available with Wendy once certified in the near future. Welcoming Wendy to our group therapy team!

Sherri ~ Clinic Assistant

Sherri is one of our valued staff of assistants at Hands on Health. She has committed to many aspects of creating a fluent and efficient schedule while assisting therapeutic staff with their many daily duties. Sherri is a loving wife, mother and a dear friend to so many at Hands on Health. She brings over 25 years of experience in Business Development & Administration to our clinic and we are so blessed to have her contribution to our practice. She is also an active member in good standing of the Canadian Payroll Association. Sherri is excited to make a significant contribution and to be a valued member of the Hands on Health team! 

Amanda ~ Clinic Assistant

We are so pleased to have Amanda with the Hands on Health Team as one of our greatly appreciated Clinic Assistants, talented photographer and loyal friend. Amanda attended Niagara College for training in medical administration and her experience in the field will be highly valued in our office. Amanda has continued to support the clinic throughout her career growth & we are so proud of her efforts! Enthusiastic and personable, Amanda is an outgoing individual with a passion to contribute, support & make a difference whereever she is involved.
