Patients may or may not see the same RMT with each visit. Otherwise fully automated bookings allow for RMT selection when possible. To maintain a fluent schedule, late arrivals may result in a shortened appointment with regular fees for reserved services applied or the appointment may be rescheduled. Appointments are typically scheduled back to back with a short void between sessions for sterilization, medical charting & a necessary physical break for the therapist. The quality of the hands on portion of the appointment time is never compromised by the clock however adjustments are made accordingly when potential scheduling conflicts arise.

Our therapists earn income based on a schedule of appointments rather than an hourly rate. Due to the physical demands of providing massage therapy treatments, we limit the number of appointments available each day. As a result, missed or rescheduled appointments without sufficient notice cause financial loss for both the therapist and the clinic, and prevent other patients from booking much-needed care.

To ensure we can accommodate as many clients as possible, we require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or changes. Failure to provide this notice will result in an automatic charge of 100% of the treatment fee. However, if the situation falls within our reasonable policy terms, a one-time courtesy may be granted at the discretion of the therapist and management.

We appreciate if you can send someone in your place, as this can help avoid the policy fee. Our team works diligently to maintain a schedule that accommodates everyone’s busy lives. These policies help us focus on providing high-quality services, optimal availability, and the convenience of all our patients.

Massage therapy rates reflect the fees for treatments provided within this private practice and by a Registered Massage Therapists (RMT), a member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO), and governed by the Regulated Health Professions Act. All services are subject to 13% HST. Any fee changes will be communicated in advance.

Payment Process
  • Initial Appointments: Payments for first-time bookings are prepaid.
  • Subsequent Visits: Payments are automated and processed before arrival, on the day of the appointment.
  • Administrative Efficiency: Electronic payments are completed through the patient’s account as opposed to in-person. This allows the full appointment time to be focussed on patient care.
  • E-Receipts: A detailed electronic receipt is generated for each payment for your records.

We welcome patients to attend our facility under the guidelines of our required safety protocols. Standards mandated by the Ministry of Health and the CMTO are applied accordingly within our private practice. We take pride in operating in the safest manner possible, establishing protocols that best suit the needs of our practice. All information collected is secured & protected under the Personal Health Information Protection Act. We appreciate your understanding and careful consideration for health and safety when attending our wellness facility for care.

At Hands on Health, we strive to maintain a calm, quiet, and tranquil environment for the comfort of both patients and staff. To support this, our door remains locked in alignment with our by-appointment-only policy, ensuring a safe and secure space with low traffic and minimal noise disruptions.

Noise & Mobile Device Policy
  • Our phones do not ring and are automated to voicemail to preserve a peaceful setting.
  • Please silence your mobile device before arrival and refrain from using it during your visit.
  • If conversation is necessary during treatment, we kindly ask that you speak in soft voices out of respect for those seeking quiet time for relaxation, pain management, or stress relief.
Hygiene & Sterilization Protocols
  • To maintain a clean and quiet clinic environment, we ask that footwear be removed at the entrance.
  • Floors are swept and sanitized throughout the day.
  • Strict sterilization procedures are followed for each appointment, in accordance with mandated disease prevention and control protocols.

To ensure safety of children & for the consideration of other seeking quiet time in treatment, it is requested that alternate arrangements are made for childcare while attending your own appointment. Patients under the age of 12 may be accompanied by an adult for their own appointment & all massage therapy clients under 16 yrs of age require a parents written consent within the medical e-forms for treatment.

We offer a selection of health-focused beverages, including cool or hot loose-leaf teas, as well as wellness bath, body, and laundry products for purchase. Orders can be placed via email from the online well shop, or during a scheduled in-person shopping visit.

Ordering Details
  • As treatment time is dedicated to patient care, shopping may not always be available during scheduled appointments. However, you’re welcome to browse after your session and place an order with your therapist or via email.
  • We offer local delivery and scheduled pick-up times for convenience.
  • Special shopping event dates will be announced on our social media platforms for seasonal or promotional occasions.
